I don't like how the 100% 10 key chance tricks people into believing they missed another black gem rarity item, such as the 100mil or shadow stone items. Why are 10 treasure hunter secrets a black gem thing in the event the opportunity to receive OSRS gold is 100 percent on your first key for the marketing? I don't like the way that it's given to you personally as 100% with the beginning of this promotion yet it's not suggested in any way in the'view probabilities' display. As if anyone actually needed proof you shouldn't be trusting whatever probabilities they tell you, but hey. Bears repeating. Some people really are not aware of that.

I think the criticism is much more about the manipulative nature of this rather then the truth it is"free keys". It's a common strategy referred to as"the first ones free" where you give someone a free hit on something you know could be considered addictive so as to get the ball rolling in hopes they will spend more. While the keys that are free are known by many us are a 100% drop because of previous events. There are people STILL who do not and assume they got super lucky. And individuals who have gambling addictions will 100 percent pursue that winners high regardless of the fact that they basically won nothing.

Such a complaint tbh. They always give honestly, and 10thk roster thats the prize to you. Why would I want gp or even darts when I keep going and really could win a 10 more secrets? Apply the"keep going" logic to someone hooked on TH and spending IRL cash on it. Does not seem like an ethical thing. There's a reason why over 90 percent of MTX revenue comes from less than 10 percent of the participant base.If you remove the junkies, then the cost goes up significantly and/or the game shuts down. You can spew that"moral" shit all you need, but without that, you do not have a game to play.

Well if MTX is so significant and sub prices are useless then I don't see what's stopping Jagex from getting rid of sub fees for RS3 and let the whales pay for running the game like virtually all MMOs nowadays. Mandatory subscriptions have been something of the past, GW2 and ESO ditched concealing game content behind a monthly paywall for MTX.Half the income for RS3 comes from subscriptions. Sub fees are not unworthy, but MTX can be clearly helping the match. It would be absurd for Jagex to make the decision to just cut RS3's revenue in half (this goes for removing MTX or vouchers ).

I mean instead of dumping it to Chinese overlords if the game used any of that earnings that may hold some water. RS3 has less than 20 programmers last I checked and makes well over 50 MILLION profit a year.I'm not certain what you mean. Would not the owners undoubtedly be wanting to maximise profit? Cutting on subscription would the earnings of half RS3. They'll attempt to boost revenue, if of their revenue drops.

That's something that you ought to tell people like EXPHuster who make it seem like subscription fees don't matter anymore telling people to shut up around MTX. After several years is a troubling stagnation that signals a lack of management and bad 28, IMO Jagex is stuck to MTX. We would see membership fees increase if we eliminate MTX. When we eliminate subscription, then we would see more competitive and OP MTX to try and increase that revenue.

I'm alright with either manner. It they go hard on MTX or concentrate all their efforts into making a subscription. It really makes no difference to me personally since I have had plenty of experience playing PaytoWin games and there is always OSRS for the real rs experience. Idk if people realize that RS3's MTX is already quite aggresive, TH is actually the equivalent of Gacha Boxes or Loot Boxes since the Western MMOs call it so it can't get any worse. While Gacha or Loot Boxes give out junk more often, TH is much more OP as it's a high chance in xp and incentive xp which you can buy off with keys. Jagex is giving it away too easily Though other MMOs would try to limit xp gain as much as possible to keep players playing for a time. From cashing in oddments I've gotten an amount of bonus xp from free keys with their promos. It is counterintuitive to buy 2007 runescape gold that they market xp to skip lots of ability levels when the main goal of the subfees would be to maintain players subbed as long as possible and have them working on these skills.
